alpha version released

Alhamdulillah, thanx to God, GledkAV! 0.1 alpha version has been released. Thanx for everyone who has given their support to this project. But, GledkAV! 0.1 alpha version doesn’t meet with all of our objective before. GledkAV! feature is only scan the email that has been downloaded, but it can’t give user warning and report of detected virus. Please download this project and let us know your opinions or problems. Thunderbird is Mozilla’s next generated mail client (not mail server as we posted before).  As a mail client, Thunderbird has one big weakness, that is no antivirus inside it. This project want to make internal antivirus add-on for Thunderbird. Antivirus engine that is used is Clam Antivirus. So, when you installed Thunderbird and this add-on, you will have protection from viruses.

But we still have a problem on the project’s documentation. We don’t know ’bout the standard documentation for software project. Anybody can help us ????????

Hello everyone, take a look at our blog, and leave a comment please!!!! We make the blog coz we want to promote our open source project!!!This is our first time making open source project. So, we will introduce ourself first. We’re the group of five of ITS(Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember Surabaya) information system student. We’re a newbie, so please understand it. let’s talk about the project. As we say before, our new project is all about the open sources. So, everybody can involve to this project, and help us!!(^o^)d. Our project is combining the thunderbird and clamav. Why do we want to do it??Because, many virus come through email so we need reliable anti-virus to handle it. We choose thunderbird because it’s fast and stable mail server application and of course it’s an opensource. ClamAV is reliable antivirus. That’s why we choose it!Beside, there no need for internal scanning cos it’s just wasting time!!I think that’s all for today!!See u, after the progress!!!Doakan kami y!!!!Ganbarimasu!!!
